21 before 21

So basically…here’s the plan. I am going to run 21 half marathons or marathons before I turn the age 21. (I came up with this plan when I was about 18 1/2). My birthday is on March 31 so by that day in 2013, I will have hopefully completed my goal 🙂

1) Moo Cow Half Marathon – September 18, 2011

2) Healdsburg Wine Country Marathon – October 16, 2011

3) Healdsburg Wine Country Half Marathon – October 29, 20114) US Half Marathon – November 6, 2011

5) North Face Endurance Half Marathon – December 4, 2011

6) Walnut Creek Half Marathon – December 10, 2011

7) Operation Jack Marathon – December 26, 2011

8) PCRF Cinco de Mayo Half Marathon – May 6, 2012

  12. Hey we’re almost the same age, my birthday is March 24 haha! Good for you, this is awesome. I’m just starting to train for my first half marathon! It’s on May 19 in Vacaville! Do you have any good tips?

    • woo! happy almost birthday 😀

let’s see…tips i have would be to really just enjoy yourself. that’s my goal for every race. yeah, getting a personal record would be nice but at the end of the day, i would be most likely to remember my attitude and the experience rather than a number. also, bring a GU. they’re those gel things sold at sports stores. i didn’t take one during my first half but i should have. now i always take one at the half way point.

good luck and i can’t wait to hear all about it!!

  14. Such an awesome goal!! If only I enjoyed running, I’ve had my seasons where I did but now I’m just stuck with kickboxing and stairs…but I attempted to run last week, it’s a start. Cute blog! Look forward to reading more

  17. Awesome goal and good luck. My goal is be able to run a 5k by my 25th birthday, I’ll be 23 in 21 days so I have almost exactly 2 years to get to this place. I am currently trying to work off all the excess weight I have gained. My goal weight is 130, I am currently at 212.6. I am also trying to get more fit in general and eat better. Its really hard though.
