college by the numbers

I have been in college for about a month and a half now and so much stuff has already happened (both good and bad). I thought I would summarize some stuff by the numbers!

peanut butter jars gone through – 3 1/2

almond butter jars gone through – 1

bbq sauce bottles gone – 1

boxes of cereal eaten – 8

pounds of oatmeal consumed – about 2

almond milk cartons gone – 13

salads eaten – too many to count

kombucha cravings*** – 187893491812

all nighters – 1 <—-never again!

socks lost in the laundry room – 3

pants lost in the laundry room – 1 <—–i miss you spongebob pajama pants 😦

papers written – 5

tests – 1

quizzes – 10

movies watched with the roommates – 12

friends made – priceless

totally cheesy ending but whatevs!

***I was able to curb my kombucha craving the other day! I was innocently walking through the market the other day when the food bar caught my eye. 12oz kombucha for $3. I’m in!

So. So. Good. I came to find out that a local kombucha company makes this liquid heaven. Local + Kombucha = one happy health freak. So as I passed the kombucha case, I saw this….

Revive is the company. They sell kombucha throughout Sonoma County at stores and farmers markets. Now, every time I want some more and the bottle is empty, I pay $4 to get it filled. I’m not going to get it refilled everyday, but it’s still a great thing to have! I am one happy health freak πŸ™‚

On a different note, I am joining the Sugar Free Challenge! It is going on from November 3-12 and during that time, I will be consuming no sugar. That means no honey, agave, maple syrup, my fav bbq sauce, frozen yogurt, chobani, some cereal, justin’s pb (they add honey), pumpkin jelly, or my fav apricot jelly. Wahhhhh! It’s gonna be tough but I am so in πŸ™‚

  1. What an AWESOME way to view how long you’ve been there, I may steal this idea in the future, so creative!! πŸ˜€ even though I’m sorry you lost your spongebob pants, that’s a bummer 😦 Ahh well, now you can go shopping!
Ooh and questions for your q&a– favorite cereal brand? Favorite way to use nut butter? Dream vacation? Favorite type of workout?
    Have a great weekend!! πŸ™‚

  2. FUN! I love this πŸ˜€ especially about the part with massive consumption of pb-i like it!

I used to have a kombucha scoby! I would make my own kombucha, but something went wrong because it tasted, well, awful. Like Band-Aids or something…blech. So anyway…I didn’t use it for awhile and it ended up molding 😦 Bah-bye Scoby baby!

And thanks for joining the challenge! Can’t wait!

  3. Ok i’m so glad to know that someone goes through nut butters at the same rate I do. My roommates always used to be like “wtf?? where does all the peanut butter go?” lol

    hmmm questions for you…
    1. what’s your favorite way to work out (besides basketball)?
    2. favorite brands of workout gear?
    3. clothing style – dress up or dress down?
    4. if you could only eat ONE meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
    5. describe your PERFECT weekend

speaking of weekends – Happy Friday! πŸ˜€

  4. Ooh, I don’t even remember how many nut butter jars I’ve gone through. Shwoops! And, I heaaaaar you on the all-nighters thing. Never a good idea, but I totally understand why you had to do it. Take care of your body first though!
Great post, loved how you organized this πŸ™‚

  5. I did sugar free like that for a week once. It was tough for 2-3 days but then carrots started tasting like candy and it was all good. My go to for the sweet tooth was a smoothie with frozen banana, pb, and coco powder. Good luck!

  6. Well I’m glad you’re having a fantastic time!
I seriously need to join that sugar challenge, I eat way too much sugar πŸ˜›
Question idea: How do you stay motivated to exercise and eat well at college when surrounded by all the temptation and people eating badly?

  7. Good luck with the challenge! I can’t wait to hear how it goes πŸ˜€
and this is such a cute idea for a post! Time has flown, hasn’t it? We’re already half way through the semester and I”m SO excited!
